At Making Music Matter For Kids Inc., we believe every child should explore their musical talents, and our scholarship program is here to support that journey. Making Music Matter For Kids is not your ordinary non-profit, it's a movement. Our mission is simple but the journey has been long. Ending the crisis that's plagued the nation's music education for years has been a battle but we never gave up the fight.
While the majority of music nonprofits fund schools directly, our mission is to provide individual students' families their own music school choice directly for better music education. While most schools have music programs some better than others, unfortunately there's many kids out there that feel that the type of music they are interested in is not supported, not only is it not supported it's looked down upon.
This is where we step in. As schools across the country continue to cut music programs we'll take this as an opportunity to end this failing system and put the Education Choice for Children Act in full effect. While School Choice and the Education Choice for Children Act goes under way we hope you join us to make all types of music matter for kids regardless of income. We've only just begun the fight for our kids' music choice rights!

An activity that would allow students to form lasting friendships? An activity that would help students become more disciplined and confident. Fortunately, there is such an activity, unfortunately, many schools will not make it a part of their curriculum, due to issues with funding and scheduling. This activity is something that everyone is aware of, but not everyone has a chance to participate in. This activity is music and your gifts help make it possible. Musical Instrument Donations
We accept instruments regardless of condition. All instruments donated are put to great use; we refurbish every instrument we can into playing condition, and instruments damaged beyond repair parts are recycled into art, or parts are used to repair other instruments to be sold or donated. Your donation is tax-deductible for the value of the instrument.
