Rock School’s intermediate guitar lessons are tailored to build on the skills that students have developed through beginner lessons. Transitioning from intermediate to advanced guitar lessons, students are able to move smoothly between the fundamental open chords and power cords, basic Major and minor bar chord shapes, know the notes on the low E & A strings, basic strumming patterns, play along to a metronome, hear and match Major, minor chords, identifying the key to simple songs, understand and apply theory, play through several complete songs, play the blues scale, Major scale, Major, minor pentatonic, basic lead technique picking, bending, sliding, vibrato, reading guitar tab, and chord charts. Intermediate students are now eligible to participate in live performances.
